What High Holy Days are we celebrating?

This year’s celebrations have been selected to provide you with a rhythm of remembrance, presence, and vision casting. Through these practices you will honor your past, be attentive to your present, and dream into your future. Here are this year’s events (subject to tweaking):

January
Epiphany – follow your star into your future.

February
St. Valentine & The Full Hunger Moon – saying “yes” to La Vie Boehme.

March
Spring Equinox & The Full Worm Moon – planting seeds in the softening ground of your life.

April
Eastertide/Pascha – a metaphor for hope and renewal.

May
Beltane/May Day – celebrating fertility in all her forms.

June
Summer Solstice – a sumptuous celebration of abundance.

July
Shabbat – finding a rhythm of work and rest.

August
Ramadan and Lectio Divina – sinking into your holy texts.

September
Fall Equinox and Sukkot – “To every season, turn, turn, turn” – cultivating an awareness of provision and abundance.

October
Dia de los Muertos & All Souls Day – drawing strength from those who came before.

November
Samhain – carrying the Light, passing it on, preparing for a season of giving.

December
Winter Solstice –  a celebration of the return of the Light. (Magpie Girl’s personal favorite!)
